Mécanosphère is a transnational (Portugal, France, United States,...), transonic and transmental music and word project headquartered in Portugal since 2003.
Through recordings and sporadic stage actions, Mécanosphère creates a
fragmented, transgenetic, polyglot narrative made of " found-litterature " and sound poetry cut-up intertwined with ruins of hip hop, bass-heavy dub, chaos rock, drone noise, bricolage electronica and rough free music blasts.

Mécanosphère’s association with Soopa has lasted since late 2004, and it’s become visible through the release of their latest album, “Limb Shop” (co-released by Soopa), in which Soopa member hhy worked as producer, dub scientist and sonic sculptor, moulding source material into the album’s finished tracks. For some time now, hhy has also taken part in Mécanosphère’s stage actions.
