One Man Nation a.k.a. Marc Chia, one of the few souls to have escaped the mental death zone of Singapore, introduced Porto to his work, which explores the harsher areas of electronica and beat-driven music, with evocative sampling and a deep narrative feeling of geopolitical disenchantment ingrained into his dark textures. Besides his appearance at Casa Viva, a week of fascinating conversations and wine sampling with the Soopa Crew led to the birth of "Outsiders' Collective", of whom more will be said later.
