Mental Liberation Ensemble & Rafael Toral

After the show in early July with Carlos Zíngaro, Mental Liberation Ensemble reconvene for a collaboration with another renowned portuguese musician: Rafael Toral, whose career spans over two decades of work in the fields of sound and intermedia, including collaborations with John Zorn, Sonic Youth and Keith Rowe, among many others. 
This concert is part of a cycle of music and performance organised by Balleteatro do Porto, which will feature another Soopa-related show: "Nyarlathotep" (on October 16), an intermedia séance inspired by HP Lovecraft and Nikola Tesla, and featuring Mécanosphère members Jonathan Saldanha and Benjamin Brejon, as well as actor and spoken word performer Diogo Dória.
