F.R.I.C.S
04 Oct 2008 | Street ConcertFestival Se Esta Rua Fosse Minha
F.R.I.C.S. returned to the streets of Porto on the occasion of Se Esta Rua Fosse Minha ("If This Street Belonged To Me"), a festival that, for some days, brought music, performance and visual art to the streets of downtown Porto.
For this appearance, F.R.I.C.S. served a two-part performance, starting with an unplugged marching section that took to the band to a stage set up in the street where an amplified set was played.
Despite a sunny afternoon (many band members could be seen wearing shades), F.R.I.C.S. managed to invoke a deep degree of darkness with a heavily psychedelic-doom opening number. From there on, things got lighter, and multicolloured cosmic-voodoo-funk soundforms emanated from the stage, decorated with F.R.I.C.S.'s trademark inverted pirate flag.
