Evocation of Resonance
19 Dec 2009 | soundtrackMuseo de Arte Contemporánea de Vigo
This sound performance of Jonathan U Saldanha overlaps to the space a sonic attack proceeding from the reutilization of samples (sounds of second generation, that already had existed in a specific space but that have since been crystallized) proceeding from archives of antiaircraft sirens used in World War II. Their capacity of sonic pressure is used in an attempt to disclose the panic impregnated in its sound, in a compound of evocation through the resonance in the building of the echo of the sirens with the decryption of their symbolic properties of warning and enchantment.
