Transmission from the Void

ANTENNA 2º PHASE

Choir recording on a cold war antenna dome, Berlin (the Devil´s Moutain).

This project uses the profoundly evocative mental landscape emanating from this site as a trigger for a musical/coral composition, were the relation of sound with its immediate phantom, the acoustics of the space, are the core element.

On the antenna crypt/axis/cave/totem a cosmological strategy will be set in the sense of creating a symbolic narrative for the unfolding of the sonic movements,  contours and a dynamic direction through time & space, using formal elements of silence, texture and static sound in a ritualization of this dome spherical space.

Project orientated by Jonathan Uliel Saldanha, combining voices and informal coral ensembles, with the highly ritualistic and evocative proprieties of collective chanting, materializing the physical evocation of time.
